TopDiaryFeb 1st, 2025 - Okinawa

My husband and I went to Okinawa again for a two-night trip. I have been there many times, but I still discovered new ways to enjoy the experience.

One of the best parts of our trip was the restaurant where we had dinner. The restaurant’s idea is that food can be like medicine. Okinawan people are known for their healthy lifestyle, and their food might be one of the reasons for their well-being. The meal was tasty and healthy, showing the island’s way of life.

We also saw beautiful Yachimun, which is traditional Okinawan pottery. The designs were excellent, and we bought some for our home.

Although the weather was not great, we did see a beautiful beach for a short time. Even with the clouds, the ocean was still stunning and peaceful.

Another enjoyable experience was visiting the Kin area near Camp Hansen. The view there didn’t feel like Japan, and the atmosphere was different, similar to Pattaya or the Philippines.

Okinawa always has something new to offer, and I can’t wait to visit again.
